Disneyland Part 1

What can I say about this trip...It was AMAZING!

We left Saturday morning around 8:30am. It is a 13-14 hour drive from Twin to Anaheim, so we decided to break it up a little. The fist leg consisted of us driving to Vegas. It was about 9-10 hours (portable DVD player saved our lives) the kids did great considering, they took a nap for a few hours the rest of the time they were content to watch movies and  eat as many snacks as possible. Jon was afraid that he would get tired during the day so I started out driving and then just kept going, so yes I drove the whole way to Vegas! For me that is epic considering that because of my anxiety, a few years ago, I could barely make the 2 hour drive from Pocatello to Twin. So yeah this totally proves how far I have come. Anyway, we reached Vegas around 6:30-7 we met up with Jon's brother and his family and Jon's parents. We stayed in North Vegas in a kinda shady hotel I think the review's exaggerated a little, but it was still a  uncomfortable. The next morning we left around 7 am mainly because I did not want to stay longer than we had to. Because I drove the day before Jon drove us to Anaheim, which was good because I don't think I could have made it. Jon was laughing at me when we hit LA, because when ever he would get into the lane to take an exit traffic would merge right next to us and then it would add two more lanes and instead of being in the correct lane we would have to cross two more lanes to get back to where we stared and let's just say this Idaho girl got a little freaked out and made some embarrassingly naive comments about the situation one example
"Jon, you need to be in the far lane."
"Ok"
"It's going to be exit 50 S....Whoa! What are these car's doing!? It looks like they are coming onto our lane? Jon! They are coming on to our lane! What are they doing!! Jon!!"
"Tangela, they are merging it will be ok."
"Are they going to hit us!"
"No."
"Jon! Now we are in the wrong lane! We need to be in the far lane and now we are in the middle!!"
"Tangela it will be ok I just have to get over ( Jon merges over into correct lane) See now we are in the right lane."
Jon laughing.
"What are you laughing at we could have died!"
"I am so glad that I am driving."

Good times.

For our week in DL we stayed at Staybridge Inn and Suites in Anaheim, in a two bedroom suite that was complete with a full kitchen ,living room and a bathroom in each room. It wasn't huge but it fit 4 adults and 4 kids just fine. Jon's parents stayed in a different room because they were only going to spend  two days with us.

Right after getting tickets!
