We had a very successful Conference yesterday. I woke up early and made a bunch of snacks for the kids, my visiting teacher's came the day before and brought gifts of crayon's (totally banned in this house) but I will make an exception for Conference and a packet for each child that had pictures and things to color. So I set them up with a plate of snacks each, placed cookie sheets on the floor for a hard surface to color, and let them at it. They were quiet for the first 45 min, but hey it's something right!? I might even think of ending the ban of Crayon's....maybe. Every-time I lift the ban I remember why I put in there in the first place. My walls, floor, mirrors, books. tv, computer, picture frames, chairs, ect need a break. My kids think paper is for sissy's.
After Conference was over we took advantage of the sun and took flowers to Papa. It was the first time we have visited his grave and I don't feel bad for waiting. It was very peaceful and happy. I was ready. I kind of felt bad because the kids and I were kind of walking all over him, but I don't think he would mind, I am just glad the place was empty, because others might have been appalled at the irreverence.
Welcome April.
Papa loved his garden, and all the silly things you put in them so we brought him some propeller birds and well.. I don't know what they are called ,but you see them in" grandma "type flower beds and garden's. We had a good laugh.
